Put That On My List!
Our kids are at the best ages for Christmas. Christopher will be 6 in January and Elizabeth is 2 and a half. For the past three months, any time anything fun was advertised on t.v., Christopher has yelled, "Put that on my list!" For the most part, I've just said, "Okay!" and gone on about my business, although he has given me a few great ideas. If I had written down everything he's asked me to put on his list, I would have filled several pages by now.
Well, monkey see, monkey do, so, of course, Elizabeth has started to shout, "Put that on my list!" every time she sees something she thinks she might like. If I had written down all of her requests, she would be getting breakfast cereal and an Outback Blooming Onion in addition to every toy advertised.
Last night, we were all in the living room watching t.v. when a Zales Diamond commercial came on. The screen showed a pair of hands so full of diamonds that they were cascading through the fingers like a sparkling waterfall. As the commercial ended, Elizabeth said in a hushed, reverent voice, "Mama, put that on my list!"
That's my girl!
